St Patrick’s Day Float

Most pupils took part in The St Patrick’s Day Parade in Roscrea. Our theme was based on Roald Dahl’s  Revolting Rhyme The Three Little Pigs.  We won the Best Schools Category and The Overall Cup.

A big thanks to all our Sponsors

Mt St Joseph Visit

5th and 6th classes visited the Cistercian Abbey of Mount Saint Joseph on the 9th February. Thanks to Mr. Adrian Hewson who arranged the trip and to Dom Laurence Walshe who gave them a very interesting tour and presented them with a copy of his book ‘Lumen Christi’ which highlights the beautiful stained glass in the monastery church.

Monastic Sites in Roscrea from the 6th Century

Monaincha the 31st Wonder of the World” was an essay written by the girls in 6th class as part of our history project. Other pupils in 5th and 6th Class researched other historical monastic sites in Roscrea such as St Cronan’s Church, Sean Ross, The High Tower, The 12th Century Cathedral.
