On June 19th, the children from Junior Infants to 6th class attended C. C. R. Roscrea for a fun-filled day with the Fun Academy. The day started with a water slide and, while the teachers were still warming up to the day, the children didn’t feel the cold at all.
After drying off and having a quick snack, the children headed for the inflatable obstacle course.
Next up, the children completed some team challenges – using all of the shapes to create a square, get the team from one side to the other without touching the ground and cross the square without landing on the ‘mines’. There was lots of thinking, chatting and laughter involved.
With the weather having improved, the children enjoyed their packed lunch from Pauline Loughnane Catering picnic-style on the grass. After lunch, they enjoyed an orienteering challenge and some very competitive rounds of tug of war including girls vs boys and students vs teachers. We won’t say who the winners were!
