St. Cronan’s Church of Ireland Church will celebrate its Bicentenary in April 2012. It is located on the site of the first monastic settlement .The pupils in Fifth and Sixth Class researched the monastic sites in Roscrea.
They entered their research in the Laois Education heritage project on 19th January andwon two awards. One for their essay on Moninacha “The 31st Wonder of the World” and their project entitled “Monastic Sites in Roscrea”
