A Proclamation for a New Generation

The Proclamation for a New Generation

St Cronan’s National School, Rosemount, Roscrea 15th March 2016

The pupils and staff of St Cronan’s National School, Roscrea present their hopes and dreams for the future.

From the rubble of 1916, a great nation grew known for its “Céad Míle Fáilte” and “green country.”

The seeds of equality that have been sown need to be nourished. We must treat everyone with the respect they deserve and all who live here should feel that Céad Míle Fáilte.

We must prioritise our education system, by ensuring that all children have the key to unlock their learning. We must value our teachers as they hold the future in their hands.

We must ensure that we do not tolerate bullying and that all children have access to a happy and safe learning environment.

By nourishing our body with healthy food and exercising regularly we can reduce illnesses and the number of patients who are waiting on trolleys. Come on! Make 2016 your year, it’s your move!

The people of Ireland elected our Government; together they can tackle the issue of homelessness and ensure that everyone has somewhere they can call “Home Sweet Home”

We must encourage everyone to use all our resources wisely and never waste them. We will pick up litter and recycle everything and anything we can to save our environment and to keep our “green country” green.

We must always think before we act, listen before we speak and ensure we treat others the same way we want them to treat us.

As we climb to reach our destiny we will reach for the stars and follow our dreams!
