War Poems

War

War will never end,

No matter how much we defend,

War will never be over,

War will never end.

War will never end,

No matter how many troops we send,

War will never be over,

War will never end.

War will never end,

No matter how many lives we take,

We fight for our family’s sake,

War will never end.

World War 1

WW1

I will never forget.

What happened that day,

In the trench.

I’d laid my best friend to rest.

The Germans sang a song

That didn’t last too long.

Back to war we went

Aware of the rotten scent.

In Flanders Fields

Most of us yielded!

WW1

Marching side by side;

As strong as the high tide,

In the trenches many have died,

And for those many cried.

Many were wounded,

And many are gone,

Images you won’t forget

When you’re marching along

It started 102 years ago,

When bombs were being thrown,

Many were scared for life,

And others watched a terrible sight.

War

Things that remind me of war.

Gun shots, ringing and persistent.

Trenches, damp, wet and disgusting.

Bombs, loud, explosive and deadly.

Soldiers, terrified, scared and wounded.

Poppies, red and remembered.

Never ending fighting.

Things that remind me of war

There is no Peace among our Countries

There is no peace among our countries,

We seem to be always fighting.

We are never just and fair.

Why can’t we be one United Nation?

But still there is no peace among our countries.

There is no peace among our countries,

We seem to be always fighting.

But though we do our best to stop,

There is still no peace among our countries.

Lives Lost

In the trenches we all wait

For the next scream that we hate

Who will be gone next?

Who will we lay down to rest?

Nervous for our lives

nervous for all lives

When the next bomb drops

Another life stops

Still ringing in their ears

Standing in the trenches

With friends standing near

It happened 102 years ago

Yet gunshots still ring in their ears

Hiding from a bomb attack

Soldiers gripped with fear

It happened 102 years ago

Yet screams still ring in their ears

Crying over a friend’s death

A face full of tears

It happened 102 years ago

Yet sobs still ring in their ears

Tending to gunshot wounds

Wounds that are very severe

It happened 102 years ago

Yet pain still rings in their ears
